National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

The National Prescription Drug Take Back Day event aims to provide a safe, convenient and responsible means of disposing of prescription drugs, while also educating the general public about the potential for abuse of medications.

This one-day event will provide residents with no-cost anonymous collection of unwanted and expired medicines. All locations are accepting items 10 am-2 pm.

Stockton residents can come to:

Arnold Rue Community Center

Before bringing in your medicines and sharps, please be sure to:

  • Remove pills from containers & packaging.
  • Consolidate loose pills in a plastic bag.
  • Remove or “black out” any personal information.
  • Seal sharps in a biohazard or other sturdy sealed container, such as a bleach bottle or coffee can. Only certain locations accept sharps.

A full list of event locations can be found on the U.S. Drug Enforcement Agency’s website.
