Explosives cannot be disposed of with hazardous waste because they have their own set of regulations. With the exception of fireworks, contact the police or fire department for further instructions.
Soak Fireworks Before Throwing Away
You can dispose of fireworks at home by removing the fuse, soaking them in water for at least 15 minutes (soak large fireworks overnight), and double bagging them before tossing them in the garbage.
